Grace's MISSION
STATEMENT: "Going to church" is
often perceived to mean time spent in a particular building. But
Christians understand that "church" is much more than a building - it is
a gathering of individuals who share the same beliefs and values, who
have committed their life to have a growing relationship with Jesus
Christ. They gather to pray for those who suffer from illness or other
challenges in their life, for injustices in society, for government
leaders, but most of all for those who do not know Christ or have not
yet chosen to become a member of His flock. Whether you meet in a
formal building, a neighbor's home, or in a circle of friends on the
park lawn, the Holy Spirit will know the sincerity of your heart and
dwell among you. Where we meet is not as important as WHY we meet.
Attending church offers each of us a chance to gain wisdom and
understanding from God's Word; it also provides us with support and
encouragement for our daily walk with Him. |
